独立音乐界的艺人及多支大牌乐队将联合起来，为艾滋病的研究机构"Red Hot"组织录制一张名为《Dark Was the Night》的慈善双碟专辑。
该专辑将于明年1月17日由著名独立厂牌Beggars Banquet发行，参加专辑录制的阵容有Spoon、The Arcade Fire、Yo La Tengo、The New Pornographers、Bon Iver、Feist、Cat Power、My Morning Jacket和Iron & Wine等多组知名艺人。
五人乐团The National在专辑中贡献了"So Far Around the Bend"这首歌，他们的成员Bryce和Aaron Dessner参与发起了这次活动。Aaron Dessner说，"我从上高中的时候开始就在听这些乐队的歌，现在我们能跟他们排在一起了，但是有些时候还是很难以置信--这些可都曾是我崇拜和尊敬的人啊。"
《Dark Was the Night》的吸引人之处还在于Feist与Ben Gibbard 及 Grizzly Bear、Dirty Projectors与David Byrne、The Books与Jose Gonzalez、Aaron Dessner与Bon Iver及Bryce Dessner与Antony之间的相互合作。
Dessner说，"我和Bryce邀请大家来参加，每个人都非常乐意贡献自己的时间和音乐。"
Dessner兄弟希望能把部分艺人表演的歌曲录制成影片放到网上，明年春天，他们还将尽可能多的组织这些艺人在纽约和其他国家进行演出。
